CONFEDERATION FOR DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS (CDDH)

Defending Human Rights, Democracy and Human Dignity Worldwide

The Confederation for Democracy and Human Rights (CDDH) is an independent international human rights organization committed to promoting democracy, the rule of law, fundamental freedoms, and the protection of human dignity.

We work to defend the rights of individuals and communities affected by human rights violations, support victims of injustice, advocate for political prisoners, and promote accountability, peace, and democratic governance.

Our Vision

We envision a world where:

- Human rights are universally respected and protected;

- Democracy is strengthened through accountable and transparent governance;

- Every individual enjoys freedom, dignity, equality, and justice;

- Human rights defenders can operate safely and freely;

- Political prisoners are no longer persecuted for exercising their fundamental freedoms;

- Civic participation and the rule of law are guaranteed for all.

CDDH believes that lasting peace, stability, and development can only be achieved where human rights and democratic principles are fully respected.

CDDH envisions a world where human rights are universally respected, democracy is strengthened, the rule of law is upheld, and every individual lives in freedom, equality, justice, peace, and dignity. We aspire to become a globally recognised institution that advances knowledge, promotes innovation, strengthens democratic institutions, and contributes to effective public policies that improve the lives of people and communities around the world. Our vision is founded on the belief that sustainable progress depends on accountable institutions, informed leadership, active civic participation, and meaningful cooperation among governments, civil society, academia, development partners, and international organisations.

By bringing these actors together, we seek to foster inclusive societies where diversity is respected, opportunities are shared, and human dignity remains at the centre of public life. Looking to the future, CDDH aims to serve as a leading platform for research, education, policy development, institutional capacity building, strategic advocacy, and international cooperation. Through our work, we seek to inspire positive change, strengthen resilience, and help build societies that are more democratic, peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable. Our vision extends beyond addressing today's challenges. It is about shaping a future in which strong institutions, responsible leadership, and respect for universal human rights provide the foundation for lasting peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for present and future generations.
