Share Your Story
Your Voice Can Advance Human Rights
Every testimony has the power to protect human dignity, strengthen accountability, and inspire change. Behind every human rights report, advocacy initiative, and policy recommendation are individuals whose experiences help the world better understand the realities of injustice. Share Your Story is the Confederation for Democracy and Human Rights (CDDH)'s secure and survivorcentred platform for receiving personal testimonies, documenting human rights violations, and preserving lived experiences. It provides a trusted space where individuals, families, witnesses, and communities can safely share their experiences, knowing that their voices will be treated with professionalism, dignity, confidentiality, and respect. Whether your experience relates to arbitrary detention, torture, enforced disappearance, political persecution, forced displacement, restrictions on civic freedoms, environmental harm, discrimination, or any other human rights concern, your story can help strengthen public understanding, support evidence-based advocacy, preserve historical memory, and contribute to lasting justice.
Every testimony matters
Every voice has value.
Every story can make a difference.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every individual has a safe opportunity to share their experience, where every testimony is respected and protected, and where personal stories contribute to truth, accountability, justice, institutional reform, and the prevention of future human rights violations.
Our Mission
Share Your Story seeks to:
- Provide a secure and trusted platform for sharing lived experiences.
- Document human rights violations through ethical and survivor-centred practices.
- Amplify underrepresented voices in national, regional, and international advocacy.
- Preserve historical memory for future generations.
- Support research, reporting, accountability, and justice initiatives.
- Encourage solidarity, resilience, and meaningful public engagement.
Why Your Story Matters
Every testimony helps build a more complete understanding of human rights realities.
Personal experiences reveal the human impact of arbitrary detention, torture, political persecution, displacement, discrimination, violence, and other violations in ways that statistics and legal documents alone cannot. By sharing your experience, you contribute to credible documentation, strengthen advocacy efforts, support institutional learning, and help protect others from similar abuses. Your story becomes part of a collective effort to promote justice, accountability, and lasting change.
